Call me Cindy. I have read #Moby-Dick more times than I can count. #Dogs, #Dylan, #coffee, flowers, #literature, and #TheBigLebowski make me very happy. I wrote a #memoir about my father's early-onset #Alzheimer's with Dr. Bruce Miller of UCSF. It's called Finding the Right Words: A Story of Literature, Grief, and the Brain (Johns Hopkins, 2021). I am currently writing a book on #EdgarAllanPoe and artists and authors influenced by him.

There is actually quite a bit less snow now Beartooth Highway from 2300m winter closure, up past 2600m, than a month ago. Hiked up on 3rd switchback, 2620m, 15K total. Of course not skiable from the start, horrible solid ice first 1km. Rare relatively calm day 0C at start 👍🏽. Unusual to see moose droppings all the way up, probably from yest. More snow will be melting/sublimating/blowing away next 8+ days. W chinook winds just picking up as we finished. #climate #hiking #dogs #montana

Finally I got a fever overnight and feel absolutely miserable. I went to a drugstore and bought a test kit (not cheap😖). The verdict was... Flu A. I have to stay home for a couple of days. My doctor was quick to send a prescription for Tamiflu and I took one. It may be too late but better than nothing.
I'm just glad that he's not going to get it from me. We're going to take a nap.
