In §108 of the Philosophical Investigations, there is a lovely marginal note: "Nur kann man sich in verschiedener Weise für ein Phänomen interessieren" (Anscombe tr.: "Only it is possible to be interested in a phenomenon in a variety of ways").

The note was inserted by #Wittgenstein into the typescript as a handwritten slip of paper. I love it so much because it fits my interest in #marginalia and multiple perspectives in #linguistics and elsewhere
