A gray green tent is pitched on a clear, flattish area with a large light gray rock outcrop rising in the background. The ground around the tent is mostly bare ground covered with dozens of small rocks. There are a scattering of crumpled brown fallen leaves and a few patches of moss. The rock outcrop is mottled with dark gray patches of lichen. A few trees are growing around the base of the outcrop, with a forest of stately hardwoods beyond. A soft gray blue evening sky is peeking through the forest canopy. The sun is a couple hours or so from setting. It is shining directly towards us through the trees, casting long shadows across our tent site.
