The tree ahead to our right is formed by five separate trees growing together, their trunks now joined at the bottom. Several of its roots break through the surface of the ground and intertwine. The foliage of the trees, bright green orange and gold, blocks the top of our view of the lake. The unseen sun is shining directly towards us, backlighting the richly colored leaves and partially silhouetting the tree trunks and limbs.
