Silver Leaf fungus

#TextureTuesday #ThickTrunkTuesday #Fungi #Mushtodon #Photography

Purple bracket fungi growing along the bark of a tree. The composition is split almost vertically, creating a beautiful juxtaposition between the rough, dark wood and the delicate, organic shapes of the fungi.

The right side of the frame is densely packed with hundreds of small, shelf-like fungal caps. They feature ruffled, wavy edges with a vibrant purple-to-violet hue, fading into a crisp white or light grey at the very tips.

The left side reveals the tree's surface, a deep, earthy brown with a rugged, fissured texture. The bark's vertical ridges provide a strong textural contrast to the soft, overlapping layers of the mushrooms.
