A mural on an eight-storey building. The mural is approximately 6-8 meters wide and 20-25 meters high, depicting a giraffe seen from the side, with its hindquarters extending beyond the painting. The giraffe stretches its long neck upwards to the right, as if it were eating.

On another wall, perpendicular to the wall with the mural, ivy grows from the ground up to the height of the giraffe's head. Between the windows to the right of the mural, the plant grows towards the giraffe's mouth, making it look as if the giraffe is eating the plant.
A light grey border on the right-hand side of the mural creates a 3D effect, making it seem as if the giraffe is coming out of the wall, from an inner world in the flat.

Hungry Giraffe

Giraffen zijn hongerige dieren: ze eten tot wel 65 kilo aan bladeren, knoppen en vruchten per dag. Om ze hierbij een handje te helpen is er haaks op de muur van de schildering een verticale tuin geplaatst. Over een aantal jaar zal deze tuin dusdanig gegroeid zijn dat de planten de bek van de giraf bereiken waardoor de tuin zich in de loop der tijd in letterlijke zin "verbindt" met het kunstwerk. Mede mogelijk gemaakt door de bewoners van gebouw 'De Steenhouwer' en omgeving.
