@FreakyFwoof @David Huh? Accessibility is a priority and we've been working on improving it, but do remember we are in beta so we have to balance our progress carefully.
Is there anything specific you'd like to see improved in terms of accessibility?
@dansup @FreakyFwoof @David Yeah, the buttons for liking, commenting and sharing don't say like, comment and share, they just say 1 button, button, and so on. Also some buttons in the headers don't say anything unless Voiceover's recognition feature kicks in, so using Native headers and stuff would help. I don't really know much about coding JavaScript, but my experimentation with getting AI to assist me in making a Mastodon app with Expo has given me some insight into how it is possible to use native controls in React Native, at least on IOS, Android is having some issues. What version of the Expo SDK is Loops on, I think a lot of the native functionality is in SDK 54, and soon version 55 is coming.
@alexchapman @FreakyFwoof @David I really appreciate your feedback and want you to know that I'm currently adding the proper accessibility labels to these buttons.
I apologize for this, and will make a point to ensure we do better going forward.
❤️
@dansup @FreakyFwoof @David Thanks a lot, much appreciated. Can we expect a Testflite release to make sure that it works as intended, and if all is well it gets pushed out to the App Store?
