I've spent much of my professional life diagnosing and solving problems in complex systems. In my experience, the complexity of the problem isn’t always the biggest hurdle—it’s the lack of harmony between the people, equipment, and processes. I work with the teams who depend on these systems to ensure the people actually doing the work have what they need to do it well. Not just technical, not just people, but the system as a whole.

This looks different depending on the project—sometimes it's untangling a broken requirements process, sometimes it's making sure the right repair parts are in the right location, sometimes it's producing training that people can actually use. Whatever it is, I care more about whether it works in practice than whether it looks good on paper.

I've often been on the receiving end of decisions made by people too far from the problem to understand it. That shapes how I approach everything—no assumptions—true solutions require a thorough, patient, and objective assessment from start to finish.
