a black backed stilt - bird with long beak, black wings and back, and white body, very long red legs. it is in water and hunting for food, and you can see reflection. there's a small land in the back.

Photo au format vertical montrant un grand gravelot en train de pêcher un ver. L'oiseau est pieds dans une eau très peu profonde qui renvoie quasi parfaitement son reflet, et tire le ver hors de la vase avec son bec. L'oiseau est légèrement hors focus, et de petites éclaboussures d'eau volettent autour de lui. Il est éclairé par une douce lumière cuivrée du soleil de fin d'après midi. L'eau a des reflets d'argent autour de lui.

Nächtliche Szene eines kleinen Bootshafens im Winter. Im Vordergrund ruht dunkles, fast schwarzes Wasser, in dem sich die Lichter der Uferpromenade in langen, gelblichen Schlieren spiegeln. Zahlreiche Segel- und Motorboote liegen dicht aneinander an den Stegen; ihre Verdecke sind mit einer dünnen, weissen Schneeschicht bedeckt. Links ragt ein hölzerner Bootssteg ins Wasser, ebenfalls von Schnee überzuckert.

Das Ufer wird von hellen Strassenlaternen beleuchtet, die die verschneiten Bäume und die angrenzende Strasse in ein kaltes, weiss-gelbes Licht tauchen. Im Hintergrund ziehen sich sanfte Hügel nach oben, an denen vereinzelt beleuchtete Häuser einer Ortschaft zu erkennen sind. Der Himmel ist tiefdunkelblau bis violett und wirkt durch eine leichte Trübung oder Dunstschicht fast flächig.
