This is a landscape format photo of a winter scene taken along a hiking trail in a forested area. The groomed trail is about 10 feet wide with a cross country skiing track cut into the snow's surface on the right side. This provides a sense of depth as you can see the track extending in the distance. Mature deciduous trees line both sides of the trail and many of the trees are coated in snow. Some coniferous trees are also present in the area. It was a bright sunny day so, shadows can be seen on the snow covered ground.
