Vintage miniature Super Ball (1 inch in diameter). Multi-colored. Not quite as bouncy as it used to be - but then who is?

Vintage metal thimble. I use it when sewing to protect one of my fingers so that at least one finger survives my attempt to return a button to its proper place. In medieval times very poor knights wore thimbles like this during jousting tournaments in lieu of much more expensive full body armor. Sometimes the protected finger was all that remained of the knight after the tournament ended and the widow would bequeath it to The King. This eventually became known as "giving The King the finger" - a tradition that continues to this day in a somewhat modified form.

The Great Seal of the State of Ohio as printed on the first tickets for the Ohio State Lottery. Those tickets are dated Aug 22, 1974. I still have several in a safe place just in case the state someday decides there was an error in the original numbers drawn and it turns out that I actually have the winning numbers after all.

Emerald pilot lamp (or "On" bulb) on the front face of a Heathkit SG-8 RF signal generator. Built between 1953 and 1961, this unit would have sold for about $19.50 back then - the equivalent of about $225 today. You can learn and see much more here -
