The word ‘samsara’ can be confusing yet interesting. We use the same word in bangla to describe, living in a family and playing house.
Today for the first time, it hit me why it’s called that. Samsara is basically doing the same thing over and over again, and feeling stuck. If you’ve been married for 10+ yrs yet not deeply in love, you’d understand that feeling. You do mundane things over and over again for others but that doesn’t necessarily give you joy or comfort, only to feel miserable and resentful.
That’s why probably Buddha suggested that you have to live in the now and focus on one thing to break the cycle.
