Hier sur Rance Inter, un proprio d'un supermarché à #Lorient (lequel, ce n'est pas dit) était tout content d'expliquer qu'il avait ajouté (comme nombre de collègues de Fr) un logiciel d'IA à ses caméras de surveillance pour détecter le vol à l'étalage...
Tout content donc de recevoir 200 notifs par jour sur son tel pour diminuer de moitié les vols dans son magasin.
Lui et le journaliste assurant que tout est flouté et anonymisé hein oui oui (sous tes yeux Ducon, mais pas ce qui rentre dans le logiciel...)
Le supermarché a semble-t-il une affiche à l'entrée du magasin pour prévenir les clients, si jamais vous vivez à Lorient et que vous savez de quel magasin je parle... #jdcjdr
Maintenant, de là à savoir si c'est l'IA qui est "efficace" ou l'affiche qui est dissuasive...who knows ?
Et on enchaînait avec le mec de je sais pas quelle fédé du commerce qui disait "ouin ouin plus de voiture dans les centres-villes ça fait baisser notre CA". Avant d'ajouter "les gens qui vivent en périphérie ils vont dans des ZA" mais apparemment la réflexion n'est pas allée plus loin dans sa tête... Et pas de contradiction côté Rance Inter.

As the year closes I've made a lot of progress in recovering my online #privacy. I'm under no illusion that I've achieved complete anonymity online but nor am I cooperating with the full-time corporate/government #surveillance and invasive data collection that I was allowing previously. I see no reason to disrespect myself in that way nor a reason to give them an inch.
Protecting our privacy is the same as defending our #freedom, there is no end to the process.

As expected, the #UK House of Lords recently voted in favor of banning VPNs for under-18s. It's now the turn of The House of Commons, and the British government has announced three months of consultations on "online safety for children."
Some larger, less privacy-oriented #VPN providers (ExpressVPN, Surfshark, NordVPN, Windscribe) already said they wanted to "engage" with the consultations.
So: age verification for VPNs is coming to the UK, and the government will be delighted to point out "the big providers" were "involved in the consultations".
It's only a matter of time before this will also be on the agenda of other European countries.
If you want to resist such surveillance you should choose privacy-oriented VPN providers such as @ivpn and @mullvadnet. They can be paid for in unconventional ways, including even the good old cash-in-an-envelope.
However, dodgy allegedly "free" VPNs with their snooping browser plugins are not a solution. They're a massive attack on privacy.
(This PSA certainly wasn't written just for adults.)
