Another pic of one of the #stoneage #neolithic   #burial #sites at #Everstorf #Plantation near Grevesmühlen, #Mecklenburg, Germany.

This time #SprockhoffNo. 311; photo dates from March 2022.

A long barrow with substantial kerb made from predominantly red glacial eratics.

A very large and impressive neolithic long barrow grave in a plantation, apparently from the funnel beaker period. It is lined by 50 stones which are about 1,5 m to 1,8 m high. The chamber is quite big, about 7 m by 1,6 m to 2 m, with four large top stones. The stones are covered in green moss and old, brown leaves and needles from the trees are covering the ground.

A well-preserved #Neolithic knife, the blade was made of flint and fastened with birch tar in a wooden handle.
From the pile dwelling settlement at Wangen-Hinterhorn, Lake Constance, dating 3800-3500 BC.

On display at Archäologisches Landesmuseum Baden-Württemberg, Konstanz

A spider’s neolithic home at Haroldstown Dolmen, Co. Carlow. 🕸️✨

A close-up vertical shot taken at a low angle showing a frost-covered spiderweb spun against the rough, textured surface of a large, dark stone. The sun is rising on the left, creating a bright, hazy lens flare with soft purple hues that illuminates the delicate web. In the background, a green field covered in morning frost blurs into the distance, with the silhouette of a bare tree visible against a pale blue sky. The lighting is crisp and ethereal.
