A row of tools from inside the pump house used to top up the docks on the Isle of Dogs in E London. Some of these look as if they date back to the early days of the place. I suspext there are few metric nuts or bolts around. @canalrivertrust.

Details of a crane/hoist inside the pump house used to top up the docks on the Isle of Dogs in E London. The facility dates from the 1920s but nearly everything will have been updated at some stage I suspect. @canalrivertrust.

The docks on the Isle of Dogs in E London are all connected and all lose water. These pumps top them up when needed. You can visit on occasional open days run by the Canal & River Trust @canalrivertrust.
