I'm having the greatest time with #reticulum - it's like the internet in 1991, but with a decentralized architecture.
I will write a guide for it, so you can all join me and have fun.
Edit: Guide done

Man, a good UI can make a world of difference. I am playing with #Reticulum again and discovered an #Android app called Columba https://github.com/torlando-tech/columba which is an LXMF app like Sideband but actually looks like it was designed to work properly on mobile and seems to abstract a lot of the technical stuff away properly while still giving access to it if needed.

I traveled #Iran some years ago and my thoughts are with the friends and wonderful people I met there.
There are horrible massacres going on, and the dictators have shut down the internet to suppress images and information from reaching the outside world.
We nerds can't do much to help with a 'regime change' there now, besides raising public attention. But can we build a reliable communication system with #Reticulum, #Briar, #Meshtastic, #Meshcore that helps in similar future situations?
The recording of the talk “The Meshiverse OR The Revolution of the Little Radios” has been released.

for any #radio hackers like me fiddling with #meshtastic there's a project called #Reticulum that is new to me but clearly some of you are using or reading about too. Here's my highlights from the 'internet killer' video on youtube and a Ghostreader summary comparing the two: https://readwise.io/reader/shared/01kjda0w6q4kwpmpb1hnx2dpze
I really like technology like this and I'm excited to see options for resilient signaling and communication networks that don't rely on infrastructure we don't own.
