Even though my English is for all intents and purposes equivalent, when I'm trying to understand the #daodejing I often find myself translating fragments back into my mother tongue, Dutch. Almost as if the text demands words that I didn't acquire through education. #moa
Back on the Old Site, I didn't really feel like posting these fragments because my following there is predominantly Anglophone.
Here on Mastodon though, I think the content warning system gives me a way to share them without bothering people who don't read Dutch, or who just aren't interested. And the slightly more generous character limit could be pretty helpful too.
