@BillySmith Instead of wrapping your head around Daoism have you tried letting Dao wrap itself around you?
Not being facetious here, the oldest know character representing "Dao" is the character for head in the middle, flanked by the character for road on both sides. That image suggests to me it's about allowing your mind to be overwhelmed by the possible paths, rather than trying to understand them.
