Here's a little tip for terminal users: you can use the /etc/os-release file to find out the OS version, release and name. It works on all Linux distros and includes FreeBSD. I haven't tested this with macOS or other OSes, so feel free to report if it worked on your obscure version of Unix 馃槈 Haha!
