If you want excitement in your life, becoming a pirate is actually not the best career choice. You get long hours, grueling labor, cramped living spaces and last but not least: *boredom*. Even plundering ships is usually an orderly process where everyone pretty much does what they're told.
What you also get is a ship full of sailors with an impulse to steal things... because they're pirates.
And because these three shipmates don't exactly have their own chests of gold to conceal from each other, the possessions that get pilfered tend to be the ones that are *funny*.
Guillermo's not laughing. Sometimes he seems to be the only one in this crew who takes his duties seriously—and he can't do them effectively if he only has one leg to stand on!
