Six months ago, I traded my trusty Canon 5D Mk IV for a Nikon Z8—my “midlife crisis” camera. The tilting screen saved my knees, the files are stunningly sharp, and the EVF has completely won me over. Even ISO 25600 looks usable. Now I’m wondering if a tripod is still essential.
