Cilix glaucata 🦋

La petite épine est un papillon de nuit dont la chenille consomme les Rosacées (Aubépine, Prunus, pommier...).
Assez répandue, on la trouve dans les milieux ouverts buissonnants où l'imago est visible d'avril à septembre .

Plus this wintering-over native shield bug, Holcostethus sphacelatus (Offener Lorch in 🇩🇪).

Easily confused with H. albipes, but they're only found around the Mediterranean & that's not here 😬

In mid-October, I took my ridiculous 4mm fisheye lens out to the forest.

It's honestly not bad for photographing mushrooms – uniquely enabling you to get both the mushroom and the rest of the forest in frame at the same time. And it's always fun to experiment.
