Noticing lines and textures in a quiet moment, walking at the Coast the other day. Very peaceful. Feeling thankful.
Looking out to Newcastle beach from beneath a stone arch. Diagonal steps in the foreground leading to the yellow beach sand and turquoise water. A few surfers in black wet suits sit in the water looking for waves to catch. The sky has some whispy, white clouds and it becomes a deeper blue, higher up in the image.

It is getting late for such creatures, but the #RedAdmiral#Butterflies are not quite done for the year yet - saw this one while on a late afternoon/ early evening walk just now.

A Red Admiral butterfly sitting on a buddleia flower overlooking Bawsey Drain, North Lynn. TRhe butterfly has a brown centre, the orange/ red band that gives it its name and black and white wing tips. The back part of the band has four black spots each side of the centre of the butterfly. The buddleia is of the pink variety (there is also a white variety), with hundreds of tiny flowers, each with a yellow/ orange spot in the centre. There is some greenery visible in the background.

1/ "Ruta Nocturna - Sierra Nevada"

Started with a 6pm bus uplift to los Posiciones del Veleta. Hiked to Col de Carihuela and hence to our dinner/sunset viewpoint on top of Loma Pua at just over 3200m. Amazing location with views in all directions
