There is actually quite a bit less snow now Beartooth Highway from 2300m winter closure, up past 2600m, than a month ago. Hiked up on 3rd switchback, 2620m, 15K total. Of course not skiable from the start, horrible solid ice first 1km. Rare relatively calm day 0C at start 👍🏽. Unusual to see moose droppings all the way up, probably from yest. More snow will be melting/sublimating/blowing away next 8+ days. W chinook winds just picking up as we finished. #climate #hiking #dogs #montana
