I went to Memorial Art Gallery today and fell in love with this painting before I even knew it was an #Indigenous artist.

Morrison was an internationally acclaimed artist whose work in painting, drawing, sculpture, and print conveyed the aesthetic, spiritual, and geographic influences of his Northern Minnesota home and Ojibwe heritage. He attended the Art Students League in New York City, where he forged friendships with artists including Louise Nevelson, whose work is also on view in this gallery.
