Huge, bright yellow engineering structures in Leith Docks, so tall they're clearly visible from #Portobello Beach. I've seen others posting recent pics of huge structures there that are part of an offshore wind farm, wonder if these are related?

These yellow towers were standing out on the skyline at Portobello, even though they were much further along the coast at the docks in Leith. I've noticed a fellow local photographer taking photos of large pieces of engineering in the docks recently that turned out to be parts for an offshore wind farms, so perhaps these are part of that too.

These wooden groynes are spaced along the length of Portobello Beach, to help protect from the sand drifting too much. This one, number four, also has some tiny sculptures on it (if you zoom in!), a local creator adds them now and then to brighten the world

The Little Green Van is a regular fixture on Porty Promenade at weekends, offering up hot cuppas and also doggy treats. They even have wee cushions you can borrow to use if sitting on the nearby sea wall!
