A group of roosting little black cormorants on a partly submerged dead branch in a lagoon. The group is composed of five birds, two on the left looking right towards the middle of the group, and two on the right looking left in (anthropomorphically) judgmental poses, while the bird in the centre has its wings raised and is looking up in an (anthropomorphically) suppliant pose at one of the birds on the left which is apparently returning its gaze.
