The lower half of the image is filled with a layer of white, slightly fluffy, stratus cloud. The upper half of the photo has a near transparent layer of thin cirrus cloud filling the remains of the the photo, with darker stripes stretching across the frame from left to right and is rendered golden by the still hidden (behind the San Gabriel mountain range) rising sun. In the lower left corner is a large four engined passenger plane (Boeing747) with its wheels lowered on its approach to land. In the upper right corner is a further aircraft, possibly 5-10km behind the first. This jet has 2 engines and also has its wheels lowered.
