We're on a stretch of water between the mainland and an island of the bustling city of Hong Kong. The distant view shows a hilly landscape almost completely covered by skyscrapers along the shoreline in front of it. There's a slight haze to the distant view and the sky of clouds and patches of blue is pale. The water here is a green-blue, a little choppy, but flat enough for comfortable transportation. We're on a passenger ferry and we're passing another one heading in the opposite direction a few dozen metres away. The ferry is a gently curved oblong lacking any obvious fore or aft section and it comprises two decks. The lower one is painted dark green and the upper one is white. There's a squat funnel on top in the centre of the vessel with life rings mounted all along the underside of the open window areas of the top deck and a few tyres to cushion docking lower down.
