Letzte Woche wurde am Freiberger Platz dieser DDR-Flachbau von Wildwuchs befreit.
Laut Aussage eines Arbeiters soll das Gebäude demnächst abgerissen werden.
Schade, mir kam ja vor einiger Zeit die Idee eines "Nachbarschaftszentrums", das hier hätte entstehen können, die Lage wäre dafür ideal.
Aber ein Investor hat das Grundstück wohl vor zwei Jahren gekauft und will darauf einen Neubau errichten.

Walking past a medieval market in Dresden, we heard very well played trad Irish music emanating from inside. We discovered "The Sandsacks" performing trad songs, some sung in Irish.
And then between songs they would chat in German, not an Irish accent in sight.

At one of the many, many Weihnachtsmarkt in Dresden in December, this stall had a particular lure with its rising steam, dapper brewmeister, and a bit of pageantry.

Related to #BoneConduction: One of the most moving art pieces and concepts I know of is (was?) the "Touched Echo" installation by Markus Kison in the center of Dresden, allowing visitors to "hear" the sounds of the British carpet-bombing air raid from February 13, 1945, when they rest their elbows on the railing near the river and hold their ears closed... Nothing is heard/felt by any bystanders nearby... Such a powerful concept and window to the past!
