One of my favorite places to hike to on the planet…

A wide, tiered waterfall cascades over dark rock steps in a lush green forest, with water flowing in silky white curtains.

Happy #WetWednesday er #WaterWednesday er #WaterfallWednesday er... *Sigh* hopefully you'll enjoy this waterfall closeup!

#landscapephotography #photography #canada #lpw

A closeup of a massive waterfall. The water and shadows a deep blue colour due to the strong shadows cast across the scene. The water trickles down hundreds of small sharper rocks, with many of these rocks formed so they point upwards, splitting the water jn multiple thin threads of water. The exposure is long so the water paths as it weaves between these sharp rocks is clear. The rocks also form a circular shape with a bowl like shape in the middle. Its what made me think of a crown and gave the image its name.

Horsetail

Seljalandsfoss is usually busy; it's a popular place and very accessible due to its proximity to the main Route 1 ring-road.

Because of photos of this falls taken at sunset, it felt as if everyone was there at once to see the fabled spray rainbows. You can just see a double bow here.

A cave offers some access behind the drop, and you can see some people there in this shot.

A colour photo of the lower part and base of a horsetail waterfall striking the surface of its pool. The water is white all the way down. Behind it is a brown rockface with a flat area where people are standing. Low sunlight is cutting across the falls, creating a shadow across its base and double rainbow on the left of its drop.
