...an impression from today's perfectly foggy healthy afternoon in Cannon Beach... if you look long enough, you may see little birds popping out of the water and back in... can't promise anything else... this is where Ecola Creek flows into the #Pacific. #OregonCoast #travel #GetOutOfTheHouse #PutTheDamnPhoneDown #CannonBeach #Oregon #Ecola

Today, in inhospitable #weather and after a sleepless night for me, walking was minimal. We did drive out to the lovely country near #Tillamook and put our feet on the ground for a few steps at Cape Lookout and Cape Meares, where a sleeping #lighthouse stands, supposedly one of only two in the world that are eight-sided. Big waves, and every breath had sea spray in it. #Oregon #Travel #Monday #GetOutOfTheHouse #OregonCoast

In 40 years of living in the Pacific Northwest, I had never stopped in Gearhart, Oregon, despite driving by it on 101 many times. Today, I took a turn and paid Gearhart a brief visit (on the way to Astoria). Found a beautiful design on the wall between two sleeping or maybe dead businesses, a lovely walking trail that kept out of the rain, and some intriguing objects waiting to be appreciated. #PNW #hiking #OregonCoast #Gearhart #travel #rain #wallart #design #trees #SaintMary
