Awoo! 🐺

Put the tripod (which I've had since about 1995!) in the car today, in the night I've got the yard to myself (other than some cats), and set up the #Lumix so I can use my mobile phone as a cable release and even a remote viewfinder!

Cropped from larger image shot with 40-150mm zoom (as much as I can afford at the moment), most of my #photography is fairly close range stuff anyway (with a lot of indoor and macro shots)

Walking back from a gig tonight, I noticed lots of people in Castle Street taking pictures. So I turned around to see what they were photographing.

And this is what I saw.

A colour photograph of the moon coming out from behind thick cloud, behind Edinburgh Castle. The castle, in the centre of the picture, is illuminated and appears bathed in orange-red light. The moon is just above the castle, and is the brightest thing in the picture. The moon is a white disc, with no detail visible. It is the clouds which make the picture. There are two dark circles of cloud, one on each side of the moon, which is lighting up their edges so they look like eyes or spectacles. The rest of the sky is very dark, and the cliffs of Castle Hill are also dark. In the bottom right corner the top of a tree can be seen, lit up by a street lamp. The leaves are bright green.

La #lune, la verra-t-on aussi bien dimanche soir ? Les prévisions météo pour ce moment d'#éclipse changent régulièrement (averse, hier soir, peu nuageux ce matin… Pourvu que ça ne change plus et que ce soit une bonne prévision).
Hier soir, à Tréguennec, j'ai patienté quelques minutes sans trop bouger en espérant que les bécasseaux viennent se positionner entre moi et la lune et son #reflet.

Photographie en couleur (majoritairement bleu sombre) prise en début de nuit sur une plage de sable à marée basse. Dans le ciel relativement dégagé, à cet instant, la lune aux trois quarts pleine est bien visible, de même que son reflet sur le sable humide où quelques dizaines d'oiseaux limicoles, sans doute des bécasseaux, explorent le sable à coup de bec pour trouver leur nourriture. La ligne d'horizon est pratiquement à mi-hauteur de la photo, avec à gauche, le cordon de galets en haut de la grève et au pied de la dune, et à droite, les vagues de la mer, encore bien agitée, qui génère un air chargé d'embrun.. Il va falloir que je "rince" mon matériel photo... non non, pas sous le robinet...
