Went back outside with the big camera now (Sony A6700) and the Scarlet Dragonfly let me get super close! 🐉
I took this photo with the Sigma 18-50mm f2.8 lens - I did also try a couple of macro shots with a Laowa 65mm f/2.8 2x, but couldn't get the sharp shot I was after (nor enough to do a stack), it was a bit windy.
This dragonfly was super chill, flying around but always coming back to this spot. He even shared his lunch beside me! 🤩
A caterpillar of what I think is the Formosan Swift (Borbo cinnara), a skipper butterfly, spotted at Rifle Range Nature Park, Singapore on 1 March 2025. These butterflies lay their eggs on grasses.
