Old railroad signal near the Tioga Transportation Museum south of Newark Valley, NY

A railroad signalling device is sharply focused under a featureless grey sky, a pole rises up from the bottom center with something that looks like a ladder along it that seems to be too thin for that purpose. The signal has two blades, we seem to be seeing the black back side of one that is behind and nearly horizontal, the one in front is angled slightly down and looks reddish-purple with a white stripe painted near it's end, the blades have colored red and blue lenses attached to their opposite sides near the center.

Railroad tracks on Rt 38 south of Newark Valley -- so far as I know trains still deliver oil to a petroleum depot near Harford

Railroad tracks converge from about 2/3 the width of the bottom of the frame to the midline where they disappear into a grove of trees; to the right a grass margin, then a road, than a hill which is starting to look light it's about to burst into fall color with a mostly cloudy sky with a few blue patches showing through.
