It was sunny so shadows can be seen on the ground. A mix of both coniferous and deciduous trees line both sides of the trail. The trail curves slightly to the right in this section of the forest. This photo has a real cold weather winter feel to it.

A sunburst resulted from the angle that the photo was taken, with the sun just visible to the right side of the tree trunk. The sunburst can be seen close to the centre of the photo.

This is a landscape format photo taken from a footbridge that passes over a river which flows into a smaller waterfall downstream. It was taken in the winter on a very cold day, so snow covers the riverbanks and many branches of the nearby trees. A larger branch from a tree frames the top of the photo with traces of blue sky visible. Most of the waterfall is in shadow with the forest in the distance in sunshine. The photo definitely has a winter vibe to it.

A curved portion of a pond's shoreline is profiled with snow still present on the ground at the edge of the pond, and on a portion of the ice surface. The ice is starting to melt with open water in view in the deeper section of the pond. Ripples can be seen on the open water as there was some wind that day.
